Born in Vallejo, California, Shavon eventually found her way to Tampa, Florida in 2000 and most recently Bradenton, Florida. The move to Florida gave her the opportunity to pursue her dream of singing. Her passion is felt throughout her straight from the heart lyrics and signature sultry voice that has drawn comparisons at times to Rihanna, Toni Braxton and Keyshia Cole, on songs like “Please Forgive Me”, “When I Make Love To You” and fans favorite single “The One”. When asked who does she think she most sound like, the always modest Shavon responds, “I think everyone has their own personality and own style, and that comes out in their music, so I would have to say I sound like me, with influences of Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton & Eryka Badu.” Never one to be boxed in to any one category, she keeps the clubs sizzling with up-tempo melodies that keep the dance floor sizzling. Her up-tempo pop song “Bad” kept dance floors sizzling in 2007. For 2008 the diva is poised to take her talent to the next level with her lead single “Please Have My Baby” a call out to the “Baby Daddies” and the young girls alike, who allow themselves to get trapped in these situation. Backed by a melody that keeps the head rocking, this is a sure fire in the clubs and radio. Shavon has opened for various BET comedians, featured at Ultimate First Friday’s, the only R&B artist invited to perform at the Tampa Tony Tribute, and most passionate to her heart various fundraising functions to include performances for Manatee County’s Sickle Cell Foundation, and Big Bro Community Task Force Stop the Violence Movement.
